Annual General Meeting 2019

  • Posted: 21 Jun 2019

Thrive’s 2019 AGM brought together our investors, board of directors and executive team, to celebrate another hugely successful year at Thrive Renewables plc.

The event, held at the Watershed in Bristol on 15 June, had one of the highest turnouts of all our AGMs, with over 60 attendees all contributing to the positive atmosphere of the day.

The event began with official business during which all thirteen resolutions were passed unanimously by our shareholders. Matthew Clayton, Managing Director, and Katrina Cross, Finance Director, gave presentations on the 2018 annual results and Thrive’s strategy going forward.

The event was held on Global Wind Day, an international day to celebration the incredible impact wind power makes. As part of the celebrations we showcased our new mini documentary on Caton Moor wind farm highlighting the difference wind power has made in a rural community. The full film can be viewed here.

Lorraine Whitmarsh, Director of the UK Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformation (CAST)

The event was concluded with a presentation by our guest speaker Professor Lorraine Whitmarsh, Director of the UK Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformation (CAST), on ‘Mainstreaming Low Carbon Lifestyles’. Lorraine’s research analyses what drives behaviour change in society and what actions can be taken to promote active participation in low carbon lifestyles in the UK.

If you are an investor and were unable to make it to the AGM, you can watch Professor Whitmarsh’s stimulating presentation, as well as highlights from annual results and strategy presentation, on the AGM webcast on 15 July. Register here.
