The project is located on Chapelton Farm near Girvan, South Ayrshire, Scotland.
Thrive acquired the Chapelton wind farm site in 2019. The site has land and planning rights for a three turbine wind farm with a capacity of around 2.7MW. The electricity generated will supply a local business through a ‘direct wire’ with surplus exported to the electricity grid. The project is currently in the final stages of development and design with initial groundworks complete.
