Renewables to power a decade of transformation
As we head into the 2020’s, there are signs of hope in the midst of the climate crisis. Over the last decade the UK has more than tripled the amount of electricity which is generated from renewable sources like wind, solar and hydro from 10% to nearly 40%.
But these changes and the rate at which they move must be turbocharged as we move into the next decade. The 2010’s mark the end of the time for organic transition – we now need radical transformation.
If we are going to get to net zero carbon emissions, the next 10 years will look very different. Matthew Clayton writes for Good With Money.
