Thrive Renewables connects people to sustainable energy. We offer accessible opportunities for individuals and businesses to invest in clean energy projects that deliver financial, environmental and social rewards.
Thrive Renewables and Clydesdale Bank have provided loans for the construction of a new 2MW hydro-electric project at Inverbroom in the Highlands of Scotland. The project is being developed by Inverbroom Hydro and Glendevon Energy.
With over 25 years in the industry, we have a wide network of professional contacts and are constantly on the look out for new projects which enhance our portfolio, match our investment criteria and have the potential to generate financial, environmental and social returns.
With a pipeline of great projects set to go we're ready to raise the money needed to invest. This may be through the issue of new shares, a bond issue or traditional project finance. We are delighted to be growing our investor community in addition to our long standing relationships with shareholders, professional investors and banking providers. And, of course, we're pleased to welcome new investors via our monthly share auctions.
With the investment complete, we work with established and trusted partners to ensure the project is smoothly transitioned to its new owner, and for new projects, that it's built safely, on time and within budget so the site can be generating renewable energy and revenue as early as possible. Our projects are all around the UK and, wherever it is feasible, we try to use local contractors.
As soon as the project passes to its new owners or becomes operational it will be generating and supplying clean energy to the local electricity network or directly to local businesses. All of the projects we invest in will keep generating for decades during which time we manage the site carefully, commercially and sensitively. We consider things like the ecology of the site and aim to be a good commercial neighbour to communities nearby with open days, community benefit programmes and educational initiatives.
Income from our renewable energy projects, combined with growth of the portfolio and good management of the company, produces financial returns for our shareholders, although of course as with any investment, capital is at risk. Our environmental impact is calculated as carbon emissions reductions.
