Thrive's newest team members share the reasons why #wegobeyond for B Corp month
The world is facing some of the biggest crises and challenges of our time. By choosing to prioritise profit over people and the planet, most businesses are adding to the problem. This B Corp Month, we are celebrating the theme of #WeGoBeyond – recognising the important impact B Corps are having globally, from protecting the environment to challenging social injustice.
One of the main ways Thrive goes beyond is by reducing harmful carbon dioxide emissions, ultimately tackling the climate crisis. In fact, since we began with our mission in 1994, our projects have generated over two million MWh of clean electricity. That’s enough to power over 508,000 average UK homes for a year – delivering carbon emissions reductions equivalent to 917,517 tCO2e.
Below we hear from some of our newest team members to find out about what they love about the environment, why other businesses need to prioritise impact and what working for a B Corp means to them.
