Shared ownership: a win-win for both developers and communities?
Shared ownership enables communities to take a financial stake in a commercially owned renewable energy project – allowing local people to benefit directly from the project’s revenues and take ownership of their local energy supply. It’s a hot topic right now – the government are currently consulting on how we can accelerate the uptake of shared ownership as part of a fair transition to a clean energy system.
