Wind farm

Kessingland wind farm

Project location

Our two-turbine project in Suffolk generates green electricity for the equivalent of approximately 3,500 UK homes – almost exactly the number of houses in nearby Kessingland.

Close to the coast, the site enjoys strong winds off the North Sea and is just a few miles away from our Ness Point project.

Project summary

The project is built on land around the popular Africa Alive! animal park which receives thousands of visitors each year, giving them the chance to learn not only about conservation but also get up close to a renewable energy project.

We have also been delighted to work with the local Kessingland Primary Academy to raise awareness of climate change.  The renewable energy show we commissioned and delivered through ExplorerDome links the local wind farm to science and environmental aspects of their curriculum learning.
