Unleashing the power of onshore wind
We worked with Wessex Water to acquire a four-turbine wind farm in our home city of Bristol.
The project was initially designed to generate enough renewable energy to power its wastewater treatment site but, by the time planning consent was granted, a number of other on-site electricity generation initiatives meant the company was already self-sufficient.
We were able to work quickly and effectively with Wessex Water to complete the deal and built the project on site. Just 13 months later, the four turbines commenced generation for the first time – now generating enough clean electricity to power the equivalent of 5,232 average UK homes every year.
