Take a virtual field trip to our wind farm

We’re really thrilled to be featured in the latest UK-wide educational film from Sustainable Learning, the education project from Bristol 2015. The video focuses on how to teach about wind energy via a ‘virtual field trip’ and was filmed at our Avonmouth Wind Farm, just outside of Bristol.

Aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils (that is 7- 11 year olds) and featuring a group of Year 4 students from a local Bristol school, the film is a great introduction to wind energy, how it works and what it does as well as providing a platform for teachers to explore the subject further.

The film was created in conjunction with The Landmark Practice , and features Triodos Renewables Operations Manager, Adrian Warman. In the film, he highlights key facts about climate change and the role of renewables in the energy market.

Sustainable Learning provide free learning resources on a wide variety of subjects within sustainability and is part of Bristol 2015 , the company behind the city’s tenure as European Green Capital in 2015.  It has also produced the award-winning interactive education game, Sustainable Shaun .
