Last week, the Thrive team descended on the Bristol Harbour Hotel for the 2023 Green Energy Awards. Organised by the renewable energy centre of expertise, Regen, it was fantastic to get together and recognise all the action being taken to build renewable projects that don’t only deliver environmental benefits but put people at the heart of the clean energy transition.
The aim of the Green Energy Awards is to celebrate the best projects, leading organisations and inspiring people that make up the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector, so were pleased to be shortlisted for two awards this year – net zero energy developer and net zero energy pioneer for our investment director, Monika.
We were thrilled to come home with one of those awards, winning net zero energy developer of the year against some stiff competition! The judges were complimentary not just about what we’ve achieved in terms of capacity, but our mix of technologies, innovative approach to finance and our collaborations with both business and communities.
